Kola’s Story

Member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation

Kola has become a key advocate for the Wisawca Project, working to confront the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) in the Pacific Northwest. Partnering with Tribal Nations, Kola uses her expertise in safety consulting to help develop and implement solutions aimed at protecting Indigenous women. Her efforts emphasize the urgent need to address the violence affecting these communities and foster collaboration among tribal leaders, community members, and law enforcement.

Through her work with the Wisawca Project, Kola combines cultural knowledge with modern safety strategies, pushing for a holistic approach to preventing violence. By prioritizing the empowerment of Indigenous women and creating awareness, she is driving change and helping to build stronger, safer communities. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to justice, resilience, and healing within the Indigenous nations she supports.
