CEO | Terminal Gravity Brewing
Natalie Millar is the CEO of Terminal Gravity Brewing in Enterprise, Oregon, managing the small town’s popular brewery and supporting a staff of over 60 people.
She felt intimidated stepping into that role and a male-dominated industry at the age of 26, but her previous job as an accountant for Fortune 500 companies in Seattle – often working as the only woman in the room – helped prepare her for the job. And while running a successful brewery is challenging work, Millar enjoys the autonomy her job provides.
From human resources and marketing to management and finance, Millar does everything and strives to create a positive and supportive work environment.
I think one thing to remember: your twenties feel very stressful and very scary – and like every decision you make is for forever – or will be what you have to do for 10 or 20 years. And I think remembering that nothing is permanent, everything’s malleable, and that nobody has it all figured out is really important and helpful.
